Attention Future Real Estate Investors...

Here is my story...

Not too long ago I was just like that, thinking about investing in real estate. I wanted more books, more knowledge and more, more, well more excuses. Until I had it all down I didn’t want to do anything.

I was like a lot of people. My day went like this, Get up at 6:00 and go for a run, drive 45 minutes to work. Be at work from 8-5 or 6, head an hour home (more traffic on the way home.) Be home by 6:30 or 7:00 in time for dinner and then a nice quite night of sitting in front of the t.v. and doing nothing. Hey 4 hours of t.v. was ok I deserved it. I worked hard all day.
Fight through that for 5 days to get to the weekend to find something fun to do, though most of the time nothing was planned so I would hang out in front of the t.v. some more and trying to kill time. Just in time for Sunday night to realize there were things I wanted to do, but, it was almost Monday, back to work.

Seven days of that isn’t that bad, but what happens when you wake up one day to realize you have repeated those 7 days for 15 years!! That was me and I got to that point. I was actually not doing terribly financially. We made a 6 figure income and life sucked. I wasn’t living my passion and I wasn’t giving back to anybody in any way.

Now I tried a lot of the same things you have also. Did the books, late night infomercials, etc. What I found was that only real way to get in the game is to get the basics as quickly as possible and get in the game, now.

Lynn and I messed around for a couple of years before going full time in real estate investing. What we found is there are a lot of folks that never do it. OK, maybe you don’t want to do this full time, you are a investing on the side. That is fine, but it also takes education and action.
