Robert Kiyosaki
I know for Lynn Robert Kiyosaki was the author that really made the lights turn on. He is so down to earth and understandable. Most importantly once you read his first book Rich Dad, Poor Dad, you realize that you can make this whole thing work also. Lynn is not alone Kiyosaki is by far the most sited author by Get Real listeners when it comes to the questions, "Why did you become interested in Real Estate Investing?"

As you can see there aren't a ton of real estate investing specific books in our recommended reading. Quite basically we feel you can only get so much from a book on the topic. To invest well we feel you need specific knowledge that you would get from a mentor or a industry specific educational product.
