ImageThe dream.  Take an old dilapidated home and turn it into the wonderful show home you know it can be.  This is the kind of thing t.v. shows are made of; Flip that House, This Old House.  Is it reality?  That might depend on who is doing the work and what they know about the business of fixing up houses.

Our guests have proved no matter what type of investing you get involved in you are probably going to have to build up the skills needed to manage or perform rehab projects.  Landlords need repairs and often the best rental home deals are those in need of repair.  Wholesalers even need to know what repairs are needed on the houses they are putting under contract even when they aren't keeping them to fix themselves.

There is so much to know on this topic that you must get educated and really build a great team to make it successful.  Just like when you are deciding to get started you need to decide what part of rehabbing you want to get involved with.

Just remember as real estate investors this is where you make your money.  Sure buying right is huge but reducing your rehab costs and doing it correctly is what sets you apart from your competition.
